My current bike was a gift from a friend of mine who is mechanically inclined, it has a normal bike tire on front, but a very wide almost motorcycle width tire on the back with no gear changer, I would only assume it would mean larger wheels provide slow acceleration but Higher top speeds once you get going. Handlebars are reversed and arc in a odd fashion diagonally pointing up at the sky more than level with the ground. When on kickstand it actually rests on the kickstand and larger back tire while the front tire does not even touch the ground at all while on the stand. It runs very well on level ground, and Ive gotten strong enough that the heavier steel frame and larger back tire don't slow me down anymore. In fact the larger back tire used to drive the bike assists a lot when trying to ride through wet/dry/tall grasses without spending too much extra energy. However it does take a little extra to get going, and having your pedal ready for a down stroke immediately is almost a must if you are going to get started quickly without a push. I would say the bike itself weighs about 50-60 pounds at least.

I am so exited about my current bike that I want to see about building one for fun that uses a very large tractor type tire, and experiment with different set gear ratios, to see if I can build my leg muscles enough to drive such large tires. Then If I have the strength, I should be able to pretty much ride over and through anything, as well as draw alot of interest with a new custom bike.
